5. I chose the Park Shore Waikiki based on reading reviews here on Tripadvisor and other places online and weighed whether I wanted complete luxury/upscale accommodations or ideal location with a great price.

8. It is not a resort, there are no activities, it is not a $400 a night luxury accommodation like some of the resorts on the other side of the street - instead it is a basic, no frills hotel with neat, clean rooms and (in our opinion) the best location on the strip.
