7. Terrific gym, for a hotel: a row of about 10 up-to-date ellipticals and treadmills facing giant TV screens, a very decent weight room with machines and dumbbells, and lots of room for floor workouts.

8. Overall, a very decent hotel for a conference rate (we paid $169/night), though had we paid rack rate (well over $200) we might have preferred a B&B somewhere for the money.

9. I was there mainly to hang out with some friends in the city and was looking for a place to crash and get a decent breakfast in the morning.
