It did not help that due to a mix up we needed to squeeze a family of four into a King Room, the sofa was hastily made up (no doona or blanket for warmth) and breakfast offered for the mistake(which ended up costing us, as the full price of breakfast was debited to our travel card, and then removed in a subsequent transaction costing us in fees and exchange rates).
