Bathroom was large but very
poor
ly laid out with a disproportionately minute area for basin and make-up with extremely
poor
lighting and had to apply make up on in the bedroom by the window.

Surprisenly the weather in Santa Barbara was
poor
this July-11 when we were there, it was foggy/cloudy in the mornings and didn't clear up until the afternoon and temperatures didn't get above the mid sixties so we didn't feel like using the hotel pools however we cannot blame the hotel on the weather.

On the first occasion, only
poor
service we have had in USA, the staff (not all that young) were complaining about their hangovers, so-so food, 'gratuity' added to bill, and then had the temerity to ask if I needed the change.

A couple of negatives:
poor
internet connection, at least in my room, and the wall heater/air conditioner was noisy.

There is a 10 X 20 foot bird ‘aviary’ in the driveway where
poor
little finches are held prisoner, exhibiting ‘panic’ behavior.

Very good to
poor
service, depending on which server you got - hotel is pretty old; reminded us of the Travelodge type motels of the past - SB does not seem to have very high temperatures but we still like a cool room; the AC was an old fashioned unit installed in the wall; cooling was minimal and it was pretty noisy when on - the pool, while large, was not heated; the hot tub was nice though - bed was uncomfortable; both my wife and I woke up with stiff necks and backs.

We paid about $275 for one night , and given it`s
poor
location and build quality, I think it`s grossly over-priced.

The room was big, but had
poor
lighting, was decorated in 70`s deco and had a seemingly old bedspread.
