1. The bad news is that the rooms were redecorated in a kind of dark, drab furniture that is disconcerting.

7. It's too bad, we probably would've eaten at their restaurant, drank their booze, returned whatever profit they might've lost by offering us that smaller room that night at no charge or even upgrading us if the space was available for the evening.

8. I had a nightcap in their bar on my last night and felt really bad about asking for a hot toddy to put me to sleep when I walked in right as she getting ready to close- the bartender made no fuss whatsoever about going upstairs to get me hot water for my drink.

9. (Even if I asked for exactly 3 ice cubes and got 6 instead, again- nobody is perfect) Saturday night Jazz Trio was acceptably talented on this particular evening, not bad enough to make you leave but not good enough to make you want to travel across town to see them either.
