1. Yes, it can be a bit noisy during the day, but who cares? What I loved the most is that while you're sitting in the courtyard you can't hear any of the hustle and bustle of the street.

3. I would definitely request a room facing the courtyard, as opposed to the street, because I imagine it would be noisy on the street since since Decatur is a fairly active street at night.
