1. Several visits from maintenance didn't solve the problem (I can deal with dirty walls and an uncomfortable bed, but A/C in New Orleans is kind of a necessity).

7. The elevator smelled like urine, the tub was clogged with hair and would not drain, the water was cold, the room was dark and compounded by dead light bulbs and not enough fixtures to light the room, the blinds were bent and broken and carpet was dirty.

9. Yes, it had dirty carpet, but we accidentally contributed to that with an accidental coffee spill - twice - We are sure that we had a little poltergeist in our room that enjoyed tipping it over.

10. An air conditioner works by recirculatung the air over freon charged coils and if a filter is dirty, it will restrict that air from ever getting cooled down.
