1. I appreciated that even though we left the 'do not disturb' sign on our door while out for the day, housekeeping still left a bag of new towels and coffee for us outside the door.

3. One tip though, put your do not disturb sign out as we were woken by housekeeping at 9am after a very late night.

Pros: charming building, great location, COLD AC in the room, nice hot showers, in-room safe, in-room coffee maker, TV is adequate (who goes to New Orleans to watch TV in a hotel??), beds very comfortable, decor was nice enough, staff brought plenty of fresh towels and left them outside the door (we kept do not disturb sign up the entire time we were there), staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for food, calling a cab, etc.

5. I can't really judge the service since I don't like for housekeeping to be in my room so I have the do not disturb sign on my door at all times.

6. A couple on the 2nd floor was causing a disturbance and we called the lobby twice to get the police because there was a child involved.

7. (By the way, we were loud and my apologies to those that we disturbed) I booked it on the travelocity super secret hotel feature, so although I was familiar with the hotels in the area I was not sure what I would get until after it was booked.

10. Maid service was A-1 and never bothered me when I hung out the Do Not disturb sign, sometimes til noon, but the room was also spotless when I got back to the hotel in the evenings.
