1. That said, the bathroom was ridiculously small and difficult to maneuver in.

2. It is often difficult to find a seat in there, but when you do, it's worth it.

5. A little weirdness (and maybe just part of a charm of an old hotel) was the stairs in the hallway of our room just made it a little difficult to navigate the luggage.

6. The man at the front desk, who also had a very thick accent and difficult to understand said that I forfeited my right to get the online rate on the original reservation when I refused the upgrade.

"Great location but tiny rooms " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/1/2011 Vote
9. The pool is small and if there are large groups, it can be difficult to get chairs, but given that you are in New Orleans and most properties don't have pools, this location was a welcome spot after a busy morning/afternoon in the Quarter.
"Wonderful Stay at the Monteleone!! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/10/2011 Vote
10. If I had anything I would change, it would be that 1) the stairs coming in can be difficult to navigate with bags (and could be a problem for people with mobility issues), 2) the room that I had was similar to another described here in that the small distance from the TV armoire to the bed made it difficult to scoot by at times, 3) the room service was a bit slower to arrive than would have been optimal (I thought I had allowed plenty of time), and 4) if there was an express checkout I couldn't find it.
"Great place to stay overall! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/15/2011 Vote
