5. I had to move to another hotel (a big, luxury chain) for part of my trip as I had to attend a conference and I was really sad to leave the Prince Conti.

6. sadly as I came to learn, the French Quarter of my youth is no longer home to the artists, shops, and interesting people it once was but has been turned over to the street people who prey on tourists.
