3. I have stayed at several very nice French Quarter hotels, so they can't use the excuse that all FQ hotels smell like mildew because they are old, most don't.

4. As soon as you enter the lobby you are assailed by the mildew, I guess our first clue to the shabbiness of this hotel was the fact that they still used keys for the rooms (a safety issue).
