1. We were travelling with our 9 year old son who enjoyed looking out of the window during breakfast at all the expensive cars going past.

2. Also, if you have a car, street parking is sparse, so valet parking (@$24 a day) is an added expense.

3. We had stayed at a number of hotels and thought this one was right up there with more expensive accommodationWe found checkin very personal , easy and quick, we had arrived at three previous hotels with a broken suitcase and this was the first one who actually took 10 minutes to help us fix it.

4. The hotel was really a surprise for us, as we were dissapointed while searching for hotels in the area which were either very expensive or just awful.

5. The car parking is rather expensive at $24 per night (per 24 hrs regardless how often you use your car) plus tax (which the travel agents don't mention) so it's a bit like giving your car accommodation too.

6. cabs are easy to hail and not expensive but we did a lot of walking to places such as CBS studios (the price is right) and the Grove ( for dining and shopping) .
