1. A excess of mild noise in our hallway in the morning precluded sleeping in, so in the future I would avoid the hallway directly behind the main desk.

2. Sometimes the smaller boutique hotels I have stayed at in the same area were a great disappointment and I avoided that type of hotel but the Elan is absolutely the gold standard of smaller boutique type hotels.

5. The room is not big but it's ABSOLUTELY clean (they wash the sheets every day but you have the option to decide whether you prefer them being washed every 3 days to avoid wasting a lot of water).
