3. ) We did experience a few disappointments with housekeeping and room ammenities/condition - Very compact room with no drawer space other than the nightstand; poor lighting over the bed ( we had a two-queen room with one lamp is in-between the two beds); Aging but functional desk and Sony Trinitron TV (not the modern flat-screen listed on the hotel's web page); Rust stains running down the wall edge in the bath next to the tub and a lack of hooks or bars to hang towels to dry -wish there was even just one hook on the back of the door.

4. While it strikes me that a discriminating person might choose the Nine Zero, the fairly poor food quality is counter-intuitive.

5. The air conditioning struggled to keep up in the heat of the day; the lighting in the room was very poor, and two efforts to get additional lighting failed; one of the two elevators was out of service almost the entire time of our stay, so there were long waits for the one working elevator; one of the key card readers failed repeatedly, leading to some unhappiness; and on some occasions, hot water came out of the cold water tap.
"Great location, friendly staff, but room to improve " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/4/2010 Vote
6. We waited, poored ourselves some wine and started packing our bags to fill the time.

7. Cons: Rooms are a bit small and high priced (but much in mid-town Boston is, too), furniture is old, TVs are old with poor speakers and color adjustment (in both recent stays my TV speaker was cracked causing a 'lisp' sound), the robes and lingerie provided in the closet seemed strange (leopard or cheetah patterned boxers and camisoles).

8. Room well appointed (go for a floor at/near the top with a view of the state building if you can), although for a design hotel, I would have expected a modern flatscreen TV (the one in the room was an old CRT model with a relatively poor picture quality) and an iPod dock would have been nice.
"Great choice for Boston " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/1/2008 Vote

"Good hotel, great location + service, but rooms need better soundproofing " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/12/2007 Vote
