4. It wouldn't be my first choice for Vegas because it's a bit too far from centre-strip, but if you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with NY,NY.

7. The location on the strip was fantastic as previously i stayed down at Treasure Island (nothing wrong with TI) but i found what i wanted to do the most was towards the other end of the strip, hence the NYNY stay.

I got the Park Avenue Strip View, I believe the Luxor Tower Rooms are a bit bigger than these but well let's just say the Luxor isn't really at a prime location(don't get me wrong I really like the Luxor especially because I always get a free upgrade from the Pyramid to the Tower Rooms (Thank you Mlife)).

9. Arrived by car (Aussies doing the road trip from LA) at the wrong time on the Sunday evening - the strip was closed to traffic because of a marathon race.
