Here are few of the things, we found: Hotel smells, security door locks outside don't work-broken, no lamps in room, stained bedspread, floor in elevator peeling up, cast iron sinks chipped, cigarette butts outside on patio from previous guests, all furniture in room either torn or frayed from wear.

3. The porcelan sink was chipping away; the shower curtain rod was rusty; the countertop was pealing; The hallways and elevators were rundown and unkept.

This room was clean, but the sink had a big chip with rust stains in it; the closet door was broken (did not slide correctly); the bedspreads had stains on them (although the sheets and towels were generally clean; the "free wireless internet" was excruciatingly slow, but you could pay for connection to a server with faster speed and more ports; the yogurt served at the breakfast buffet was three weeks past its expiration date, and the rest of the food was mediocre, at best (although the popcorn machine in the lobby in the evenings was a nice touch).

5. I`m guessing those are the rooms across the hall? The bathroom had multiple issues as far as maintenance with peeling wallpaper and a badly chipped sink.
