We found that the dingy,dark smelly rooms were not cleaned well,decor was faded and in desperate need of refurbishment & paint, the stains of goodness knows what on the carpet, the creased sheets & faded bedding, the marked and ancient furniture, heater cover hanging off our first room`s wall, (yes, we were moved like most people),doors open to street access, windows had slats that could easily be removed and no way of locking, the corridors were dark and poorly lit, the noise in the middle of the night meant no restful sleep, the front desk staff were rather indifferent at best, asking for towels etc was a waste of time, parking was tight even with a mid sized vehicle, breakfast not very inspiring, slapdash top ups of coffee etc in rooms, litter pushed under the bed, either a freezing cold or boiling hot room, noisy ,slow & urine smelling lift, litter in corridors & stairways, I bought air freshener & fly killer so avoided any nasty bugs, but I`m sure they were there somewhere.
