Let me list the things that were wrong: tattered sheets, stained carpet, clogged tub, non-working heat (yes, we woke up shivering in the middle of the night), non-working door lock (yes, we were locked out at 2am which is scary in this place), no chairs (yes, there was a table and desk, but no chairs), urine smelling stair wells, shady characters lurking around.
