5. The hotel had no record of our reservation, and it turned out to be Travelocity's mistake, not the hotel, which I understand (in case you're curious, Travelocity made up for it by putting us in a different place that night, which wasn't great, but I suspect wasn't any worse than this place).

6. The guy in the shop spent 25 mins with the camera that I had made the mistake of letting him hold showing us the benefits of a lense that ended up costing a fortune.

7. One thing to watch out for, after visiting Alcatraz we walked along the main road at the front and made the mistake of entering a shop to buy a video cassette.

8. What I`m not okay with is employees with nasty attitudes, confusion about check in (I was told a room was ready, went up to it with considerable luggage, only to find the housekeeper still cleaning the room, with sheets still on the floor), a failure to apologize for 'honest' mistakes, and a lost package that no one takes responsibilty for.

9. My opinion is mistakes happen, but you know the worst thing about this? There was no apology from anyone on staff.
