1. There is a number of rental car agencies located with in a block of the hotel which allowed my to rent a car to meet in Palo Alto and return the car the same day for minimal cost and hassle.

To cut a long story short after a sleepless night I went back to the King Georege to see the manager only to be told there was nothing they could do - after almost an hour I had to resort to getting angry and said that I was not leaving until I got a room in the King George or another hotel in the area - after a lot of hassle we were eventually given the smallest room in the hotel.
