I went for breakfast at the neighbouring cafe - I can't recall what happened with the breakfast (whether I was not impressed with what the hotel offered or if I simply thought it was too
expensive
), but the diner that is almost next door is very good and well priced.

Located at Union Square without all the amenities of the larger more
expensive
hotels in the area, but close to Theater, shopping, Chinatown and the BART.

I parked across the street at the Downtown Parking which can be very
expensive
in San Francisco but the Hotel offers a reasonable rate that allows you in and out privileges for twenty four hours.

Major drawback is the city noise makes it hard to sleep - this is not specific to the King George, as I have experienced similar levels in more
expensive
Union Sqaure hotels, it is just part of the experience.
