1. They were wonderful about warning us to allow enough time to find a taxi as it was a huge problem at that time of the year.

2. Took the cable car to Lombard street and walked back - about a mile and a half - weather was great so not a problem -take your time and enjoy the city.

I had a car this time so I parked just in front of the hotel and that is all good but the problem is that there is no real hotel parking area which feels a bit unsecure as you are close to the traffic, not a huge deal but maybe something to think about if you are traveling with children because then it is extra important to make sure that they do not exit on the left side of the car due to the traffic.

7. THe only fault I could site is the outrageous parking fees of $47 per night (but every hotel in downtown SF has the same problem).
