4. We actually did ask for an upgrade and the staff tried to accommodate us but the larger room was on a smoking floor and the smell of nicotine just about knocked us over as soon as the elevator doors opened.

10. Curtains were falling apart, bathroom smelled of a ripe sewer (though it was unseasonably hot at the time), there was a smear of dead mosquitoes on the wall, and when I tried to take a shower, the water was brown with rust.
