1. The deluxe room was OK - the bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was attractive and clean, but the room felt a little dark and dated and the view to the back was not great.

4. We had to change dates of our travel due to baby's illness, and the hotel rebooked new dates for us without any additional charges even tacking into account it was package with special non-returnable rates.

5. My business colleagues stayed at the Morgans group's Royalton across the street at the same price which although much hipper and up to date than the Iroquios was more of a scene (and a potentially noisier one at that).

6. That said for an older hotel it is REALLY clean, the staff is very attentive and all are extremely friendly, the room is very up to date.

7. I usually won't stay at a hotel this expensive (even for NYC) but I was in the city for work, with little flexibility around dates/location.

8. As with anything in Manhattan, the consideration must be 'location, location, location' and the Iroquois was by far the best situated hotel we have stayed in to date.
