We learned to shut our blinds to help keep the
noise
out.

We were lucky enough to the closest condo to the road, so we did have that
noise
and the roosters could be a bit obnoxious at 430am.

If
noise

The
noise
wasn't as bad as it had been when we stayed at Waiohai Marriott in 2010 w/ the roosters.

We stayed in a corner condo in building #42 and while we were concerned that we would be exposed to street
noise
/traffic - it was very quiet, we also appreciated the self-cooling facilities that were installed (wooden slates) in the walls to allow the breeze circulate through the apartment in the afternoon/at night.

#40, 41, 42 sit between the Marriott's huge parking area and the road, somewhat removed from the rest of Kiahuna Plantation, so there is a totally private garden scene and no people off our lanai, but road
noise
to the other side.

If you choose to stay here, either VRBO or through Castle Resorts or through Outrigger (who claims they manage the most units at Kiahuna Plantation) know there are ELEVEN peripheral buildings that have more road
noise
than anything to do with the ocean.

If you don't take my advice and still want to stay here I would get an ocean front room, it's a little further away from the street
noise
and roosters, but not by much.

It is very noisy, no air conditioning and the window slats don't shut well so any and all
noise
is heard all through the night.

If you're particularly sensitive to
noise
, consider paying a little more for a unit closer to the ocean.
