1. Our trip was not taken during a 'peak' travel time, so that may have explained the absence of families with children and other noisy people at this no-frills resort.

The bathtub drain plug was broken, the bathroom fan was noisy, the toilets (both in our room and in the rooms next to and above us) made an interesting musical tone at all hours of the night, the safe in the room was broken when we arrived (the maintenance crew fixed it, but it took about two hours), and the bed sagged like a hammock.
