1. In spite of the problems, I would lean to recommending the hotel because it strikes me as statistically unlikely that someone would be nailed by all these things as we were.

2. Don't set guests up for this experience, this is purely a management problem and I could fix this in four different ways without any degree in hotel management.

3. The impression to me is that the hotel is aware of this kind of problem and does this kind of cleanup without guests being aware, and so the report of 'bird poop in room' was responded to with the standard method: spray and sweep, it saves you carting out linens and keeping extra sets.

4. Since your visit here in March and your encounter with ants in your room we have taken steps to make sure this is always handled in an environmentally friendly way', as they did to a poor couple who experienced something similar 5 months prior to us, OBVIOUSLY, the problem has not been fixed.

The staff was polite but you would expect that from a hotel that charges around $600 and up a night we were promised a full cottage it was a quarter poky cottage none of the basics air condition?? and to top it off our bed had ants, now I understand this could happen in a hotel which charges $600 and up a Night and on your honey moon so they send the staff to fix the ant problem.

7. What we don't understand is how could they be charging $1800 a nite for this suite with all these problems? The staff tried their best to help us but it seems to be more of a management issue.

10. Sadly we had a long list of gripes with the Hana Maui which tarnished our stay a little:- The number one problem with the hotel is the level of service, which is amongst the worst I have ever encountered.
