I'm w/ Colleen on the LACK of light in the rooms, but having lived 8 yrs in Phx, I chocked that up to the massive sunlight available most months, and

It's not unusual to hear kids stomping up the stairs to the rooftop, then see them running around shouting and punching each other while their drunk parents grope and fumble through a slow dance while barely

We decided to park on the street in front of the hotel to
avoid
paying the 10 dollar charge and the hotel service fee is just something you have to pay.

I didn`t want to post a long list of gripes onto tripadvisor as the place as a whole is great and the staff are very nice indeed but it is let down by small niggles (and the amount of them) which on the whole I felt could be
avoid
ed if the staff were more on the ball.

We were a little reluctant to stay in a non-chain hotel but decided it would be worth it to
avoid
the freeway traffic at 7:30am in Phoenix.

Finally, on a positive note, the desk staff did a great job of getting me a limo that knew how to
avoid
the morning rush hour traffic and get me to Sky Harbor in 15 minutes.
