Upon arrival I joked with the clerk about needing a high floor to avoid the snakes, and she apologetically noted they only had a first floor unit available, then reassured me with 'Don't worry, just keep your door closed - we ARE in the desert you know - but usually you'll hear them rattling if they're out there.
