7. A strange smell on the landing, crumbling bathroom where the shower temperature was unpredictable, hit and miss maid service (good when it happened, absent on 2 days until prompted); breakfast order delivered inaccurately; laundry not collected for 24 hours (despite it being a day the maid did come); keys that de-magnetized twice, and were actually deactivated earlier than arranged on the day of checkout; an express checkout bill delivered, the first time, a day early; colleagues who were made to check out because the hotel was full, after being promised that extending their stay would be no problem; long queues for check-in; and, worst of all, the NOISE- drilling so loud you couldn't make a phone call, banging from 0930 that made the furniture shake, as well as thin walls so you could hear other guests' TVs, and little interest in solving the problem by the management.
