1. Room service and in-room mini-bar charges were, as always, outrageous,Wireless Internet was good but an extra charge.

2. They offered us a room upgrade for a reasonable charge and even sent up a surprise gift of wine and cheese to welcome us on our visit.
"Stay-cation at the Willard was fabulous " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/22/2010 Vote
3. They are on a sensor, my wife picked up a potato chip bag to look at it, and it registered on the bill as 'lost connection with sensor' or something meaning we took it, but they reversed that charge with no hassle.
"Old hotel, ok location, mostly good service, rooms need updating " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/17/2009 Vote
4. Be careful with mini bar as they charge for for just moving an item in it.
"Historic Hotel with Great Location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/8/2009 Vote
5. It still amazes me though that the high end hotels charge for internet access but the lower end ones offer it for free (we both had to work while there since we were there for a conference plus a few days for ourselves).
"Very good hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/22/2008 Vote
6. Of course there would be a charge for internet use (I find the more expensive the hotel, the more they nickel and dime you) but I didn't bring my laptop for a 2 day jaunt anyway.
"location, location, location... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/5/2012 Vote
7. The reason I don't give it a higher rating is because:- staff were polite, but impersonal and a little cold- lobby was very crowded and noisey- charge for wifi and for use of PCs in the business centre- windows aren't double glazed, you could clearly hear the commentary from the hop on hop off buses passing the hotel.
"Comfortable, but something is missing " Read full review on TripAdvisor   10/27/2011 Vote
8. I have not seen anything like this in the best of hotels- even the average 2* hotel would not charge for providing its guest with a few pieces of china and cutlery.
"Great property- average service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/16/2011 Vote
9. First, the hotel charges $10 per day for internet access- this in today's day and age, when you charge $330+ for the room, and when the next door McDonalds offers free wifi.
"Great property- average service " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/16/2011 Vote
10. The hotel provided it at no extra charge.
"Attention to Detail Is Paramount at the Willard " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/21/2011 Vote
