I have been to luxury hotels like the Island in Newport, the Hyatt at Long
Beach
and Marriott to name a few (you know for your usual conferences and 'Super' special occasion like a honey moon).

We ended up trying the public pool near the
beach
and found it to be in excellent condition - very clean, not too busy, and great changerooms.

I travel to Santa Barbara from NYC monthly for work and usually have stayed at another hotel (4* hotel by the
beach
with an awesome reputation).

Thus, unless your heart is set on staying at the

We booked this hotel based upon the recommendations we read on Trip Advisor and others and, while it is not close to the
beach
, it is close to downtown and the restaurants.
