1. It's a few blocks from the main street in Santa Barbara but within walking distance and besides there is plenty of parking in Santa Barbara's downtown area.

3. Only 1 restaurant we could find within walking distance, a Hawaiian steak house, which had great food, but was very expensive- perhaps our fault for ordering the fish specials without checking the price.

5. So, great price; very-very nice and helpful people at the front desk; free parking; comfortable, clean room; free bottled water; free internet access; fresh apples and oranges in the room; a restaurant on site and a short walk to a good steakhouse; a few minute drive to the City Center.

6. The 'Daily Grind' is a 21/2 block neighborhood walk for great espresso and 'downtown' SantaBarbara is a 5-10 min.

7. I was a little surprised to walk into our room at the best western and see that it looked like my grandmothers bedroom.

8. The hotel is situated on a main road therefore there is not much to do within walking distance except go to the shopping centre (I recommend going to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse).
