1. Even then you would probably do better renting a hotel downtown(I spent Friday and Saturday at the Sheraton for a comparable rate and a MUCH better stay) and driving in.

8. It's not unusual to be nickel-and-dimed to death in hotels, but this hotel is charging top prices for a hotel that's one advantage is its location: in Mission Valley, close to Interstate 8 and Fashion Valley Shopping Center, and minutes from the ocean, downtown San Diego, and Balboa Park.
"Dated, pricey, don't leave anything in your room! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/31/2011 Vote
9. The resort is so centrally located that nearly anything in San Diego (downtown, beaches, oldtown, malls, trolly & bus stations, etc.) can be reached in fifteen minutes, or less.
