4. We liked this hotel in downtown San Diego which is located in walking distance to the Gaslamp Quarter (nice for dining in the evening - especially in the nice Mexican restaurants).

10. It's a couple of blocks from Little Italy, which makes for a pleasant walk to lots of fantastic restaurants, but you'll probably want to cab to the major downtown venues like the convention center.
