1. I asked the front desk staff for a recommendation for a good, authentic Mexican restaurant and they pulled out 'the list' which I told them I wasn't interested in.

3. The restaurant was good for breakfast - made it easy not to have to make multiples stops once we began the day, and we ordered room service a couple times for late night snacks after long days at the beach and various theme parks.

The location of the hotel is extremely good, only a few minutes to the Fashion Valley Mall with lots of great stores, food court, restaurants and cinemas, Old Town is only a few minutes away, the drive to downtown/Gas Lamp District is about 15 minutes and easy to find, the zoo is 15 minutes away and Sea World about 20 minutes.

6. You will need a car to get to and from the hotel, as it's not located within walking distance of many good restaurants and there is no sidewalk to walk to and from.
