1. Pacific Beach is a great place for going out, and is a very chill area.

2. All the beaches around San Diego can be reached within 20 minutes and Carlsbad with a huge Outlet Center and great beaches is only 30 miles away.

5. The restaurant was good for breakfast - made it easy not to have to make multiples stops once we began the day, and we ordered room service a couple times for late night snacks after long days at the beach and various theme parks.

7. We extended our stay and drove to Solana Beach, La Jolla, Carlsbad and Coronaco Island every day to enjoy the beaches and little towns but to return to the comfort of a great but affordable hotel.

(The parking garage is also a bit tricky to navigate with tight 90 degree turns, it's easier if you bring a small car) I felt that the hotel was in a good location though, because it's a very short drive to Old Town in San Diego, and it's relatively in the middle of the spots we wanted to see, including San Diego Zoo, Point Loma, and the La Jolla beaches and coves.

9. We went to the beach and came back 1 hour and 20 minutes later and the same guy said it would be ready in about 10 minutes.
