And the location is great, it's 5 minutes from Sea World (which is perfect if you're staying for just a couple of days, since you can check out and then do Sea World in the afternoon for a few hours on your way out), while at the same time only 13 minutes from Downtown San Diego (we went out in the gaslamp district - great restaurants and bars) as well as just a few minutes from Mission Beach.

8. Downsides: Didn't let us check in until close to 4 for one room and 4:30 for the other, but allowed us to check out late in one room.

9. Everything was perfect and the staff could not have been more helpful in providing directions, allowing a late check out so we did not have to go through the security check on base with luggage etc etc. The view of Mission Bay was great and the pool area wonderful.
