I didn't have great expectations for the place but for one night with friends it was a clean comfortable stay with a helpful staff (provided us menu for late night delivery places) I would definitely come back again even with the rather steep price but understandable for the great location right near the raleigh convention center and near a lot of other great weekend downtown activities.

There was a Winter Fest kind of event going on right behind the hotel on the Saturday night of my stay and, being from Minnesota, it was really weird to see them trucking in snow for the kids to slide on and/or play with (even eat!) There is a free downtown shuttle just a block away to hit the attractions.

On the plus side, the room had a nice downtown view, the bed was super comfy, we had no problem getting an extra rollaway bed or adding a second person to the room last minute (I'd originally booked a room with one king bed for me thinking I was going solo) and all the staff we met or spoke to by phone were gracious and accommodating.

9. Yes, it was $12 to park, but we were told about it in advance, and seriously you are downtown, where are you not going to pay to park downtown in a big city.
