The rooms are large, the location (in the heart of the Garden district, arguably the most beautiful residential area of New Orleans) is excellent and within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions, it is extremely affordable, and the hotel offers free parking, an idea which most hotels this close to the center of the city laugh at (you'll usually pay $20-40/day).
