5. Beware: Downtown New Orleans car rental agencies DO NOT offer an after-hours drop-box option, so if you don't return the car within office hours, you have to keep & park your car overnight.

6. Back to the location - this hotel is in downtown New Orleans so the surrounding neighborhood is a little bit seedy but I felt safe walking in the "touristy" areas late at night (Bourbon Street rocks!) with my boyfriend.
