1. On both sides, you have wonderful restaurants, such as Arnaud's (on the Bourbon street side) and Oceana (more casual, on the Conti side).

3. They have security at the door to keep out random wanderers (which is good because there are a lot of them on Bourbon!)And the restaurant in the hotel was GREAT.

4. Overall you can't go wrong staying at the Sonesta, you can dine all day at some of the most excellent restaurants in the country (through out New Orleans), listen to great music, get sauced in Bourbon Street bars and slip back into your beautiful hotel.

5. We ate in their casual restaurant, Desire, and had some of the biggest and best oysters that we ever had Best of all was the way that we were treated by the staff who always had a smile on their faces and helped us with everything that we needed.
