2. The Club Room includes a large flat screen TV, a full-sized Mac Computer (no charge to use), nice sitting areas, and a small outdoor balcony.

4. We called down to roomservice for some plastic cups as you can`t take glass or cans on the balconies, and they brought us up a sleeve free of charge.

5. There was only one night with a cover charge but the other nights we stopped in there was a one drink minimum and it was worth every dime.

6. That said, it is apparent that the Royal Sonesta is well aware that it has the best location & relies on that to charge exorbitant prices that are not quite worth it.

7. - Mice in my room (2 nights in a row & staff notified both times -- no offer to switch my room or anything else)- Folding closet doors off track- Maids screaming outside my door (FYI -- any room ending in '36' will be right next to the housekeeping room)- Inconsistent bar pricing (this actually worked out $2 in my favor)- The pool bar claims to have food -- they order it through room service & you are subject to the 22% charge plus tax & then they expect more tipYou would think that after 40+ years in business the Royal Sonesta would have everything down to pat.

8. Room service is a $3.00 delivery charge, local tax, and 21% service charge which basically is 30% additional of your already high food price plus $3.

9. The R club is a great value well worth any extra charge as drinks and snacks in evening and a full buffet breakfast in the morning plus 24 hour access to computer and a balcony in the French Quarter are priceless.

10. there is a small little coffee shop inside just off the lobby, as well as a great looking jazz club- we wanted to go there but were so busy and the one chance we had, there was a $15 cover (not sure what they would charge their own patrons) and we wanted to spend a little time at a lot of places- not one.
