The room and bathroom had plenty of space for all of the stuff we hauled to New Orleans, the bed was very comfortable, the
closet
contained a spacious wall safe and the room was well appointed.

Maybe if the those staffers understood that people are paying $1600 to stay there in a room the size of a walk in
closet
they would be more understanding.

, lots of bathroom space, & two chairs for sitting outside.

- Mice in my room (2 nights in a row & staff notified both times -- no offer to switch my room or anything else)- Folding
closet
doors off track- Maids screaming outside my door (FYI -- any room ending in '36' will be right next to the housekeeping room)- Inconsistent bar pricing (this actually worked out $2 in my favor)- The pool bar claims to have food -- they order it through room service & you are subject to the 22% charge plus tax & then they expect more tipYou would think that after 40+ years in business the Royal Sonesta would have everything down to pat.

The room was clean and had the basic amenities - desk, TV,
closet
, alarm clock, etc. The bathroom was a bit small, but the sink had enough room to store toiletries.

The one we had in December 2011 had
closet
doors that were 'spring loaded' to the closed position.

The good news is that you would not risk walking in to an open
closet
door.

The solution was to use our suitcases to keep the doors open while we used the
closet
or the safe.
