Here are the positives: 1) the food served for
lunch
and evening receptions was very good; 2) the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Mary who tended bar for 2 evening receptions; 3) the mattress was quite possibly the best hotel mattress I have ever slept on; 4) the room was spacious and clean.

Only things we didn't do were use the spa or have dinner here, as we had eaten a huge
lunch
before we arrived.

Old Hickory Steakhouse - conference provided
lunch
es here and they were delicious, well-presented and very diligent wait staffCascade Falls - wonderful place to sit and enjoy a drink and watch people coming in while enjoying the rush of the waterfallRavello - Italian restaurant where the conference provided dinner in a private room and Salmon was fantastic, only to be outdone by the wait staff who couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

We ate off premises except for one
lunch
at Pisianos for a slice of calzone, which was the most reasonably priced food I saw last week at Opryland.

So, my husband walked back to the van, then picked us up; and then we went and had a fantastic
lunch
at The Aquarium inside Opry Mills instead.

The best place for
lunch
was a little Italian place that you just went through the line and picked pizza, salad, etc. Under $10 and sat out overlooking the atrium.

) for us to let ourselves in/out of the parking lot so we had to stop at the booth and sign ourselves in/out each time (5) hotel's restaurants were always full during the
lunch
hour so if you're on a time schedule, good luck getting seated and served within an hour (6) Guest rooms surround atrium areas so there's lots of noise that filters in through the patio doors.

Lunch
with halfway decent buffet for 2 with two cokes is $48, steak dinner for 2 is over a hundred for hotel food I think it is very expensive.
