The lack of temperature control was particularly frustrating after I caught a cold from spending time in the super over-air conditioned convention center, where even large men in suits were complaining about the chill and I saw a couple of people taking their hotel blankets into the conference rooms.

9. when he pulled up to let me out at this hotel, some guy in a funny monkey valet suit being very rude to the driver walks up and tells the driver to pull the car down way past the entrance to the hotel.
