1. There are some really good restaurants and bars in Bricknell all easy to get to via the free metro mover or just walk across to a french style cafe just a couple of blocks down.

3. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance however, as a solo female traveler I didn't feel as comfortable making the longer evening trek alone (particularly post-drinks).

4. This was a business trip, and the hotel is in the Brickell business area (though a slew of great restaurants are within walking distance), but now I'm thinking of it for a vacation.

5. Getting a cab was no problem but its just nice to walk out of your hotel and be on the door step of an amazing beach and loads of bars and restaurants.

7. Getting to South Beach was more expensive than we expected (took a cab for $35) but Vizcaya was a nice walk (about 20-30 min south).

8. Along the walk was a park with huge spiders but high enough up in the trees to not bother the many joggers / bikers / walkers on the path.

9. Restaurants are within walking distance and we recommend Morton's Steakhouse for a more formal night or Gordon Biersch Brewery for a casual environment.
