I didn't get much noise from the
street
, but I did hear noise from the adjacent rooms (building codes for soundproofing were nonexistent back when this hotel was built).

The hotel is also right across the
street
from a major Metro station, making transport to and from LAX very convenient.

Anyone staying in Downtown has to be aware that after 5 o'clock pm the area is all but dead (sort of like wall
street
area in NY).
