1. When we read the comments we considered changing our booking to another hotel but on arriving, the hotel itself has a nice feel about it and the staff at the front desk were lovely and extremely helpful inparticular Dick at the concierge desk.

4. Hotel concierge,(sorry, can not remember his name) was extremely knowledgeable and gave me some great suggestions on activities to enjoy while in LA with my 16 year old son for our short stay.

The hotel itself was not what I expected in terms of grandeur - concierge cuoldnt have been less helpful with tourist info - breakfast looked way overpriced - jacuzzi had fag ash floating in it - and the bathroom had really dodgy looking sockets in there which in europe isnt legal and i was a wee bit concerned about using the hairdryer that was vaguely attached to one of the sockets.
