1. It is ideally located near to the Metro which we found extremely economic and efficient (not to mention entertaining!) and enabled us to see far more of the LA area than we had anticipated we would be able to see, would definitely recommend the trip out to Long Beach on the Metro, you get to see a lot of ordinary LA on the way, it brings you back to the REAL world.

4. Its a good 30-60 minutes away from Hollywood, the Grove, Uniervsal Studios, Beverlly Hills, Citadel and Venice Beach.

5. I would recommend staying out towards santa monica or one of the other beaches as they seemed more tourist friendly.

7. We were able to visit universal studios,Beverly hills/Rodeo Drive, Malibu and Pacific coast highway,mullholand drive and venice/santa monica beach all withing good range from the hotel.

8. The Good: I love Downtown LA and there is much to do with Staples Center, good public transit (subway ) to Long Beach, great restaurants, and Dodger Stadium is just a short drive away.

9. From this location we gained easy access to 1) Venice Beach which was a 45 minute bus ride away; 2) Universal Studios which was on a direct route from the Metro (a 2 minute walk from the hotel) and 3) Hollywood Bouvlevard, again, a direct route from the metro.

10. I would suggest staying in Hollywood if you want to sightsee and get to the beach.
